Stirling, Scotland
Stirling is a few short train stops from Falkirk. We made several visits and took in a lot of the sites. Stirling is considered the gateway to the Highlands.
Munich, Germany
A day visit to SienaOn a short, snowy stopover in Munich, we visited the English Garden then had a traditional schnitzel & potato salad & brew for lunch. The famous Hofbrauhaus was very crowded so we went across the street to the Wirtshaus – excellent choice!
Sienna, Italy

Rome, Italy
While in Florence, we realized that Rome was just a short high speed train trip away, so we thankfully added that to our agenda. For all that we have learned about Rome in our lives, it is still awesome to see these amazing historical places, past and present, in person – the Colosseum, the Forum, St. Peter’s Cathedral, the Vatican Museums, the Pantheon. So glad we made the trip, short as it was.
